The Hori Hori weeder first appeared in Japan during the Middle Ages around the 16th century. The word ‘Hori’ means ‘to dig’ in Japanese. Its bent ridged & razor-sharp blade make this weeder perfect for digging or cutting through roots or hard soil.
This hori hori multifunctional garden tool is also a saw & digging tool. It can also be used to replant seedlings or as a measuring tool when planting bulbs (using the cm & inch markings on the blade to measure the depth). The sheath enables you to wear the weeder on a belt.
Useage & Maintenance
Important: Although robust for normal tasks misuse by extreme or excessive prying or using as a lever will very likely result in snapping the blade at the top of the shaft below the handle. It is intended for digging cutting & weeding, used for its intended use the steel blade is unlikely to break and the tool should last for years.
Made from steel with a wooden handle made from ash, store your hori hori weeder in a dry place & clean after use to prevent rust. Oil the wooden handle to prevent cracking.
